Today the "We All Love Ennio Morricone" tribute album featuring Metallica's cover of "The Ecstasy Of Gold" is now available.
Metallica's track was produced by Mike Gillies and James Hetfield on lead guitar.

The Tour Name is...
|
Metallica MetClub contest winner dubs the summer 2007 "Sick Of The Studio 07". The bands members themselves picked this name from 1000s of entries submitted by official fan club members. The lucky winner also won two tickets to any show of his choice to be redeemed anytime.
Sick of the Studio ’07 Tour Dates:
• July 5th - Vienna, Austria @ Rotundenplatz
Metallica will be headlining and bring along some special guest supporting bands, and this will be the only show in the area of Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Liechtenstein.

No News is Good News!

All is quite on the Metallica front. But no news
is good news! The band is busy recording the new album and preparing
for another “escape??” tour to Europe this summer. Check out the blurb
from the band to keep their restless fans in the loop:
“Greetings from not so sunny Northern California. We know that things
have been pretty quiet here in web-land, so we thought we'd throw some
shit your way... here goes... We are finishing up the last couple weeks
of pre-production on the album and... really...
seriously...(drumroll)... we're going to start recording on March 12th.
We're pretty fuckin' psyched about it and pretty fuckin' psyched to be
sharing this experience with Rick.
